The most important thing to understand? "Cost"... is relative! What one person thinks is a steal of a deal... another may find too much to spend! From my own experience, I've gotten super expensive readings that have cost WELL north of many hundreds of dollars (and the readings have only been "so-so") and have gotten 50 dollar readings that have been so ACCURATE as to be eerily so! The general rule is, like anything else in life...the better the psychic is, the more likely he or she is going to want to be paid a fair price for his or her services. (even if they truly LOVE what they do... which most great psychics certainly do!)

Want to know the truth? I've NEVER heard of an "absolutely free reading" that has been worth it. I've never gotten a $5 dollar carnival or boardwalk reading that's been accurate. I've been to some pretty exotic places... and have had some pretty exotic readings, and if it's "free", the chances are... there is GOING to be a catch!
Your best bet? Find networks or individual intuitives that you feel you can trust, and simply insist on paying the price you can afford. If a particular reader is too much, find another well rated one that's not! (one of the distinct advantages of using some of the larger networks is quantity, and diversity in types of readings available)
The Bottom Line?
You do NOT need to spend an arm and a leg to get a reading you can trust. You don't' need to break your budget....or save for months to see a celebrity psychic either. (believe me... I've been there, MORE than once, and it's usually a disappointing experience) What you DO need is a reasonable budget for your expectations... and if you've got 20 or 30 dollars to "test" a psychic, you've got more than enough to get a reading you'll NEVER forget. (and won't regret.)
